Ksusha and Toby.

who: artist, illustrator.

what’s on your mind: ideas for children’s book illustration, my own projects with gift cards and our beloved brainchild — studio SAP.

when and why did you decide to devote your life to drawing and illustrations: I can’t even remember how it happened as if I had nothing decided about it by myself. In my childhood I was often ill and stayed at home. And when once attending finally the kindergarden our teacher there paid my mother’s attention to that I was always drawing instead of playing with other children.
And from that very moment my life has changed completely- I’ve made my path of learning. Till the third year of primary school I was preparing to enter to the Moscow Academic Lyceum of Russian Academy of Arts. I passed my exams there. It was not that easy thing you know. But finally I entered this wonderful place where pupils were studying general as well as special subjects like painting, drawing, composition and e.c.
I studied there seven years and then more six years at University where I’ve devoted myself to children’s book illustration. Every year we passed special exam — illustration of book. My final work was «The Wind In The Willows» and the project with gift postcards!
Now I have a lot of work.
Recently we’ve opened a studio with different workshops and possibility to paint there.
Now I have great plans for the future.

what’s on your mind: preparations for anniversary concert. My school was founded 16 years ago.

what’s the most difficult thing about having your own ballet studio: I think it is constant psychological pressure and responsibility for my project. Responsibility for what has already been done, for all the people that work for you and with you and the children you work for. Sometimes you think about the studio 24 hours a day. Believe me, it’s hard.

Alina.

who: owner of Vintage Voyage shop in Moscow.

what’s on your mind: I’m thinking about my long awaited trip to Biarritz, I imagine how I will find some amazing vintage treasures in the home town of Cristobal Balenciaga! Also, we’re in the process of shooting out new street style story for Vintage Voyage so I’m putting together all those looks and beautiful girls in my head! Very excited about that.

what’s the best thing about having your own vintage shop: haha, I always have something gorgeous to wear! Joking! I really love going on trips somewhere special like Paris or Tokyo, and find real treasures and then share it with my clients. I love when those beautiful actresses and it-girls wear vintage Chanel jackets with converse shoes! By the way, I don’t have any Chanel jackets in my wardrobe, they just don’t suit me well. But my recent love is kimonos! I’m wearing it with gladiator sandals or new balance boots and jeans!

oatmeal strawberry cookie and some coffee.

Kris.

who: pr-manager, personal shopper.

what’s on your mind: love what I do and can work 24/7 being absolutely happy about it. I’m one of those people who constantly need some progress, need to learn new things and simply can’t sit around doing nothing. When it comes to free time, I prefer to spend it with my family and close friends. I’m trying to stay optimistic no matter what and live consciously in harmony with myself. I think this is the key to the biggest achievements, good mood and even your health.

what’s your favorite trend for the upcoming summer and are there any brands you can’t imagine your wardrobe without: my fav trend is most certainly 70s. Especially suede, denim and small check print.
Fortunately now days  there are more and more new concept stores where you can find good choice with reasonable prices. I’ve also started to wear more clothing from russian designers, so I can’t name certain brands. Always trying to discover something new. But my favorite for a long time already are Isabel Marant and Carven. I know for sure that I can’t imagine summer without my Nike and New Balance sneakers, in spite the fact that it’s not a special trend anymore. Now it’s just way too popular. But I don’t care cause these are the most comfortable shoes for busy days.

what’s the best thing about Rocky Road Gym: that we’re the best gym. We’ve created a really cool project. We have this special family atmosphere which actually should be in a place like this and really good trainers. People coming to our gym and they feel they are part of our family. We’re also working out in the same gym with our clients and that creates really unique energetics!
